| Abstract: | While AI holds potential benefits in healthcare, nurses often lack the required skills and knowledge. This study aimed to compile a list of competences for nurses to work with artificial intelligence (AI) in continuous lifestyle monitoring for elderly in smart homes. The study conducted a scoping review and a Delphi study involving 48 experts. The scoping review identified 64 competences across 10 domains. In the Delphi study, experts assessed these competences for both relevance and clarity. After a two-round Delphi study, the study emphasizes the significance of 55 AI competences for nurses. These competences play an important role in the integration of AI into nursing practice, ensuring responsible and effective use of AI technologies in healthcare. |
