Expanding an asset management reference model: bridging the gap between data and maintenance

In this thesis a reference model used for asset management is analyzed and expanded upon. The reference model currently lacks information management as a key aspect. Information management is implemented through the development of a data model, introducing new policies in performance analysis and, condition monitoring and prediction, of infrastructure assets. The thesis concludes that a data model is valuable for a reference model and that improvements are made both on availability of assets and on costs.
