Abstract:Easy1 is a software package that automates invoice processing, contract management, expense processing, and purchase management for small and medium-sized enterprises. As companies install the software themselves, it is crucial that the onboarding process is user friendly. A Cooperative Evaluation was used to find the main issues within the current design, which were used to generate a new design. The new design was again tested using a Cooperative Evaluation, allowing for a comparison to the current design. It was found that, overall, the participant appreciated the new method of onboarding as it was more logical and straightforward, which resulted in them being more confident that they successfully completed the onboarding. It could be seen that the completion time was much shorter using the new design, reducing the time to less than one minute, on average, per task. Additionally, for all tasks, the scores had improved, with two tasks even reaching the maximum possible score. The participants sometimes did miss the necessary information to fully understand and complete some of the tasks. It is important that, if the new design is implemented, the right balance is found in providing sufficient information and keeping the pop-up simple and clean.
