Abstract: | The scope of this assignment encompasses the commercialization of the home battery, which will play a crucial role in allowing the Netherlands to meet its climate ambitions. To meet these ambitions, the home battery needs to gain more traction. Within this scope, the focus will be on finding a financial model that will be attractive to the customer,Zonneplan, and future investors. This financial model aims to provide an overview of the different applications of the home battery and the corresponding cash flows for the customer and Zonneplan. To construct the financial model, I will apply revenue management, billing, and customer financing models. The objective of this research is to formulate a decision support statement for Zonneplan, addressing the main research question: ‘How can the commercialization of the home battery contribute to the Netherlands' climate ambitions, and what measures should be implemented to proceed?'. |
