Abstract: | High-tech manufacturing companies deal with ever-increasing production demands from their customers. Automation can offer opportunities to increase the throughput of a facility when using the right approach. This research explores different methods for process improvements. The DYNAMO method is selected to analyse a production process at a high-tech production facility. Improvements of the method are considered to make the method more accessible for engineers. This includes the design of four decision trees. The DYNAMO method results in an overview of automation opportunities but does not provide insight regarding the selection of projects. This next step is explored in this research, considering several selection methods and criteria. |
