Abstract: | This study investigated the role of e-Health technologies in dementia care in Cyprus, focusing on the needs and challenges of Greek-speaking informal caregivers. Through semi-structured interviews with 11 caregivers, the study identified key difficulties, including medication management, behavioural issues, daily activities, and safety measures. The role of migrant care workers was highlighted, and the need for knowledge acquisition was emphasized. The study also explored caregivers’ expectations of e-Health solutions, revealing concerns about their implementation and the influence of sociocultural factors. The findings suggest a need for further research into personalized technological solutions for Greek-speaking caregivers, considering their experiences and perspectives to understand factors affecting the adoption of e-Health in dementia care. |
