Abstract: | This research investigates the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) methods into Emergo's cost estimation processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and automation. Two primary BIM scenarios are designed for PreFab, focusing on Information Takeoff (ITO) tools and a parametric roof modeler. For PreModu, three scenarios are proposed, including ITOs, automated estimations using Dynamo, and a web-based house configurator. Roadmaps outline implementation strategies, with PreModu expected to surpass PreFab in cost estimation efficiency. Standardization is crucial for both branches. Overall, this study provides strategic insights into Emergo's cost estimation process and suggests future research directions for translating conceptual scenarios into practical strategies for the construction industry's benefit. |
