Abstract:Summary A research study concerning ‘VERS’, an ability training for emotion regulation disorder, as a treatment for borderline personality disorder (BPD). The borderline personality disorder (BPS) has as a disregulation of the emotional system as a characteristic feature. VERS uses methods of cognitive behavioral therapy and a systems component, it provides practical support for participants in order to achieve emotional and behavioral regulation. Key elements are psycho-education, emotion regulation skills training, and behavioral skills training. Participants have 17 weekly group training sessions and homework assignments. Gaining insights in cognitive schema’s is essential to the success of the program. This study focuses on how VERS is executed, which components cause effects on participants and how the training can be improved
