Responsiveness of Right-wing Populist Parties in Germany, France and Britain to Public Anti-immigration Attitudes

The 2014 European elections have been marked by strong results of right-wing populist parties. This thesis uses the theory of Anthony Downs of party dynamics to investigate on the responsiveness of these parties towards negative attitudes on immigration in France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
