Abstract:COPD is a disease in which selfmanagement plays an important role. e-Health applications like ‘Personal Health Records’ can provide in this matter. By using PHR’s, patients can get access to their health information, can manage their data and can evaluate their health data. e-Vita is an example of a PHR. The goal of this research is to evaluate the usability and the persuasivity of e-Vita. Ten potential users have participated in this study. To evaluate the usability, a semi structured interview and several scenario’s were used. The persuasiveness has been evaluated by the Perceived Persuasiveness Questionnaire (PPQ). This evaluation shows that potential users find the usability and the persuasiveness moderately positive. A lower score on usability did not automatically mean a lower score on persuasivity. The usability can be increased by solving the critical problems of e-Vita.
