Abstract:In this thesis we will theoretically investigate a passively mode-locked semiconductor-glass laser. This laser uses a mode-locking mechanism called the self colliding pulse mode-locking (SCPM). In order to find to optimize the design of the laser, different operating regimes of the laser are shown by changing the saturable absorber to active section ratio, the passive section length and the injection current density.
