Abstract:This report covers the results of the measurement campaign done by GE Wind Energy in a customer’s windfarm. The main goals of the campaign was to give an optimization proposal regarding the nacelle transfer function (NTF) and the yaw misalignment to the customer. The NTF is used to transform the wind speed measured on top of the nacelle to represent the wind speed in free stream in front of the rotor. Additional a lidar unit was placed on the turbines to have additional sources of data by the customer. The customer and GE wanted to know how the lidar performs. For the wind turbines with metmasts NTF's were derived. From these individual NTF's it was investigated if one NTF could be derived from them that is valid for the whole windfarm and what its uncertainty would be. The yaw misalignment was also determined for all the turbines where the lidar unit was placed. The lidar performance was analyzed on turbines with corresponding metmasts and where the lidar was placed. This report will describe the procedure of the measurements and analysis of the data, ending with conclusions and recommendations.
