Escalation and de-escalation of international crises : the case of the accession of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation

This research examines the strategic crisis communication of Russia and its affect on the adequacy of crisis management, in terms of escalation and deescalation of the crisis events. Crisis respond strategies as well as Graham Allison's models were taken into consideration to explain the decisions and actions of the involved actors.
