Abstract:BTG-BTL realized a commercial scale pyrolysis plant. For the training of the operators and to optimize process parameters an Operator Training System could be developed. This OTS consists of a dynamic model of the plant to mimic the plant real-time and the interface the operators work with. For the internship possible methods for the development of the dynamic model were explored. A software package was selected and purchased and several key components of the pyrolysis plant were modelled. The results were promising and in accordance with the designed specifications. Validation and optimization of the model should take place during the commissioning of the plant. After completing the dynamic model it can be connected to the training simulator.
