Abstract:This paper is about the theory of Social Interdependence and how it can be applied to Supply Chain Management. Social Interdependence Theory is about small group relations and how goal interdependence influences whether the group will be competitive or cooperative. The conclusion of this paper is that more research is needed to be able to say if the same conclusions for Social Interdependence Theory can be applied to SCM. More research is needed to be able to generalize the conclusion from Social Interdependence Theory to SCM.
