| Abstract: | IOTA is a new cryptocurrency that is based on a directed acyclic graph called the Tangle. This underlying distributed public ledger technology is fundamentally different from blockchain. IOTA is still in its infancy, which means that not a lot of academic research has been performed yet. One of the most fundamental aspects of a cryptocurrency is that its safety must be guaranteed. The parasite chain attack is one of the potential attacks that is described in the IOTA white paper. In this research paper, the parasite chain attack was used to research some security aspects of IOTA. |
