Abstract:To tackle the 2050 climate targets financial institutions have to steer their portfolio to net 0 emission. Although many efforts are done in setting the targets. There is currently no methodology or tool available to see in an analytical way how the targets can be reached. This thesis proposes a forecast model of greenhouse gas emissions which not only forecasts future greenhouse gas emissions of an investment portfolio but also lets the user see how different scenarios would affect these emissions. Using this tool a scenario is run to see whether or not reaching net 0 greenhouse gas emissions in 2050 is possible.
