Abstract: | Mindfulness research has long been associated with its emphasis on psychological well-being, but studies on the influence of this construct in a workplace setting remain limited (Passmore, 2019). More specifically, few studies have investigated the relationship between mindfulness and performance-related outcomes in organisations (Dane, 2011). To address this gap, and contribute to the growing body of mindfulness research, this study aims to investigate the relationship between mindfulness and individual and team performance through various mediators. The mediating variables, linear thinking, emotional stability and conscientiousness were selected based on theory. The expectations based on the theoretical framework were that mindfulness would have significant positive effects on individual and team performance. Moreover, it was also expected that linear thinking, emotional stability and conscientiousness would significantly mediate the relationship between mindfulness and both individual and team performance. |
