Abstract: | With the recent Covid-19 pandemic, the global work landscape has been altered forever. More than 70% of the employees worked remotely. While this may be good news for employees, it is a nightmare for cybersecurity and information technology professionals. Insiders are the most vulnerable component of the security landscape, as they acquire intellectual property, personal customer information, employee information, or trade secrets. The study's high level goal is to design and implement data analytic capabilities as decision support to improve decision making capabilities in cyber security to manage insider IP risks. We intend to do so by first understanding the background knowledge about insiders and the risk they can pose to organizations, and then proposing a solution using an analytical approach. |
