Abstract: | This research paper focuses on the impact of digital finance, which is further split into three subsections to be analysed, namely: the effect of digital finance on the efficacy of businesses, how governments can accommodate digital finance, and lastly how does digital finance affect the autonomy of individuals. This is explored through a systematic literature review considering recent research done on the effects of digital finance and current laws. Overall most research seems to indicate that digital finance has a positive effect on governments, businesses and society. However, the risks that come with widespread adoption of digital finance as well as the challenge of regulating digital finance are also considerable. This research paper contributes to the digital finance literature assessing the wider impact of digital finance, to give an overview of the current situation. |
