Effects of political orientation on perceptions of the digital revolution's impact on job functions
Postma, F.P. (2024)
In this study the influence of political orientation on perceptions of the digital revolution and Robophobia in the workplace among Europeans was investigated. The primary aim of the research was to investigate how political beliefs shape individuals’ views on digitalization in the workplace, with specific attention on attitudes towards job displacement and job certainty. By analyzing existing literature and empirical data from the Special Eurobarometer 460 survey, the study seeks to identify the relationship between political orientation and views on the impact that the digital revolution is having on employment. The contribution of this study into how political orientation influences perceptions on the digital revolution is nuanced. On one hand, there is a noticeable effect of political orientation on these perceptions but simultaneously this effect is only minute.
