Early Screening Tool for the Business case of Energy Storage, Finding the financially responsible energy storage solution

For Pure Energie, we developed a tool that can compare multiple battery systems based on financial ratios within the scope of a project. Battery energy storage on a large scale is currently under development. One of the difficulties within this field is choosing which battery would fit within a specific project. Many variables impact the CAPEX, OPEX and revenue of this battery and finding a capacity that would be financially responsible is difficult. With the developed tool in this thesis, we made it possible to compare multiple battery systems based on financial ratios within the boundaries of a project. This pre-scanning tool can be utilised to determine the economic viability when fed with a revenue model and values for the CAPEX and OPEX of a battery system
