All eyes on the blueprint schedule : ILP-based optimisation of UMC Utrecht's ophthalmology staff schedule

This research focuses on optimizing the scheduling of professionals at the ophthalmology outpatient clinic of UMC Utrecht to improve the suitability and stability of their schedule. We developed an integer linear programming model, aiming to minimize unscheduled activities and therewith enhance schedule feasibility while aligning with the department's characteristics and requirements. The model successfully schedules all activities, increases educational opportunities, and maintains patient numbers.
