Overbelasting van mantelzorgers : op zoek naar het beste meetinstrument

The Dutch government is changing the Dutch health care system, in order to get patients to live in their own houses rather than in nursery homes or homes for the elderly. This change in policy raises strain on informal caregivers (mantelzorgers). Reggeland Zorgvoorzieners, the principal for this thesis, is a regional healthcare provider that wishes to support informal caregivers. To do so in an effective and efficient manner, this report provides a solid starting-point by exploring a number of methods that can be used to measure caregiver burden. Our research question is stated as follows: What is the best way to measure caregiver burden?
