Just national students or european citizens? : a study on students’ claims for grants

In order to find out which rights students already enjoyed prior to the Maastricht Treaty and which new rights (if any) were established by European Citizenship, the following research question will be posed: to what extent did the introduction of European Citizenship in the Maastricht Treaty improve the rights of students following their higher education in a different member state of the EU regarding study fees and maintenance grants?
