In recent years the purchase of own shares is growing, not only for companies with stock quotation. In practice many problems and questions occur, such as: • What are the reasons for purchasing own shares? • What kind of methods can we distinguish? In this study we shall try to give answers on the various questions. The aim of this study is to recover and to research the phenomena of purchasing own shares. We also concern the rules, accounting principles and legal instructions from various points of view.
