Duurzaam inkopen in de bouw; status Ballast Nedam

The study stems from signing the “Leidraad voor Opdrachtgevend Bouwbedrijf” by Ballast Nedam. These “Guiding Principles” (Leidende Principes) serve as a guideline for Ballast Nedam how to treat suppliers and is a filling-in of SRB. A year after signing, Ballast Nedam was curious what had been done with the “Guiding Principles” in the actual practise. This research is in accordance with the vast attention for social responsibility in the construction industry and fits within purchasing, this because 70-80% of the business is bought from suppliers. The purpose of the research is to carry out a benchmark, based on the “Guiding Principles”; among the suppliers of Ballast Nedam as to what extent they experience Social Responsible Buying from Ballast Nedam and also to give them tools for making improvements.
