Prematurity in Suriname is still one of the main causes of mortality associated with pregnancy and birth. In addition, the risk of chronic diseases in later life of the child is higher when a baby is born prematurely. In this study, the following questions will be answered: What are the demographic and obstetric determinants of preterm birth in the Sint Vincentius Hospital?
