Author(s): Ringlever, J.J. (2014)
Abstract:
This research proposes a method to incorporate vehicle capacity and passenger demand in the construction of timetables for public transport companies. In addition, we develop a procedure to attain more alignment among bus lines. These improvements result in efficient timetables and vehicle schedules with low operational costs, without giving in on service towards passengers.
