Diglycolamide-functionalized amino group-containing platforms for nuclear waste processing

Abstract:
Diglycolamide-functionalized tris(2 -aminoethyl)amine (4) and diglycolamide-functionalized triazacyclononane (5) where successfully synthesized. This was done by reaction of p- nitrophenol activated diglycolamide and the appropriate amino group-containing platform. The extraction properties towards actinides and lanthanides, two components of nuclear waste, will be determined in the BARC institute in Mumbai, India.
