Abstract:
The subject of this Bachelor Assignment is acoustic particle velocity sensing based on thermal sensors. An acoustic particle velocity sensor is a sensor which is able to measure sound waves not through variations in pressure but through particle velocity. The particle velocity is measured by variations in resistance due to flow induced changes in temperature. In this report an analytical model for the temperature distribution is developed. From this the temperature perturbation under influence of a flow is calculated, a comparison with measurements shows that the temperature perturbationmodel still needs refinement.
