The effects of TTIP : an analysis of the German automotive industry

In this work I evaluated the impact of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Agreement on the competitiveness of the German automotive sector. For that I used a novel approach based on the Global Value Chain. As a comparison I compared the agreement to the inclusion of the eastern countries into the EU. My findings suggest that TTIP will lead to more vertical specialization within the European Union and the automotive sector.
