Forecasting demand for inpatient physical therapy

This research develops a method to forecast the demand for inpatient physical therapy at the tactical level. The forecast incorporates currently scheduled surgeries in the operating rooms and the related reschedule probabilities of each scheduled surgery. With the forecast, the physical therapist department is able to cope with demand for inpatient physical therapy more efficiently and effectively.
