A Servitization Framework for Corporate Companies

Schaik, Kevin van (2016)

Servitization is a term given to the transformation from a product-oriented business towards a service-oriented business. From selling products to selling integrated sets of products and services. The goal of this research was to develop a framework for corporate companies to support this transformation. Based on the findings from different concepts in the literature related to this transformation, a servitization framework has been constructed and supports this transformation. This framework is an intertwined staged process representing the transformation towards a service-oriented business. It can be used to assess the current business orientation (product-oriented versus service-oriented) and to determine the steps a company must take to become a service-oriented business.
