Route planning at Bolscher meer dan vlees: Introducing route planning software to improve the route planning process

In this thesis, the possibility of using route planning software (in this case Ritplan) at Bolscher meer dan vlees in Enschede is investigated. Bolscher wants to make the switch from planning manually to using integrated route planning software. This thesis mentions the most important criteria route planning software has to possess these days and explains if, and why Ritplan meets these criteria and is suitable for Bolscher. It also describes the main issues that will arise at the company when management decides to use route planning software, and how these issues can be overcome. Guidelines are provided to the management of Bolscher to be able to switch from manual planning to integrated, software-based route planning.
