Innovation policy in the construction industry : the Netherlands compared with several European countries

Innovation is slow and diffusion is troublesome in the construction industry. The Dutch construction industry is on this aspect compared with the United Kindom's, Danish, Swedish and German construction industries. The different policies and strategies to stimulate innovation directly and indirectly are studied in order to find gaps in the Dutch policy profile. These gaps are filled with successful foreign measures in order to make the Dutch construction industry more innovative.
