Qualitative Measurement of BI Maturity in a SME ICT Organisation

In this study we identify the main benefits and challenges involved with Business Intelligence (BI) and gather the main BI maturity models and frameworks from both practice and research. We extend an existing framework to create a new BI maturity model. This new maturity model, the Business Intelligence Capability Maturity Model (BICMM) is tested and validated using a case study. The results of the case study are used to compare the findings of the literature study, and to suggest improvements to the BICMM.
