Digging up Malware

The Domain Name System (DNS), is of fundamental importance for the use of todays Internet. Due to the arbitrary nature of DNS TXT records, TXT records have been misused to store and deploy malicious scripts. The malicious use of DNS TXT records has up till now been studied using passive DNS measurement. This study provides an analyzes of DNS TXT records using active DNS measurement.
