An analysis of Andreev bound states in a system of topological insulators
Author(s): Schaarman, W.A. (2020)
Abstract:
In this thesis an overview is given of the current methods for theoretically deriving the conductance of a system constructed using topological insulators which can both be magnetic or superconducting. A special system is analyzed from which the conductance is determined and put in context with the different variables used. The system itself has Andreev bound states involved which greatly increase the conductance at certain Energy levels. In the system the phase added by the traveling wave is also taken into account and analyzed to see if this corresponds to the theory presented.
