Investigating the coherence between the material and social dimensions during the implementation of e-HRM while looking at the effects of user’s HR attributions

Bosgra, S.A. (2020)

This qualitative research is performed in a Dutch hospital on the implementation of an e-HRM system with the focus on the needs of the managers and employees during this implementation process. The concept of sociomateriality is used where the social and material dimensions are looked into. The e-HRM system needs to be user-friendly and useful (material) to optimally use the system and the right forms and amount of support and communication depending on the users' characteristics (social) needs to be provided depending on the needs of the users. Also, the HR attributions need to measured whether they are positive or negative as this also influences the chance of a sustainable implementation.
