Linking application and business processes using the ProductivityPerformer - Creating a method of implementation

Author(s): Kiers, J.B. (2020)

Abstract:
The research is focused on the unclear intertwining of business and application processes, which has a causal relationship to low digital performance regarding business applications. By creating a way to make the intertwining of business and application processes clear and integrating this into a software product called the ProductivityPerformer (which is made to easily create and maintain application work instructions) the end-users of applications have a lower loss of time, which increases digital performance regarding business applications. The deliverables are an implementation method for the EA-BPMo model integrated into the ProductivityPerformer. The EA-BPMo model is a combinational model between Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Modelling which is able to model processes and link application services and components to the processes. The recommendation is to use the implementation method as determined in this thesis, to decrease the loss of time and therefore improve the digital performance regarding business applications.
