Development of a supplier analysis and selection tool within the purchasing department of a production company

This research is conducted to improve the supplier selection process at a production company. A lot of extra time and money has to be invested in the supply chain process to solve problems, because not always the most suitable supplier is selected. This occurs because of the current way of supplier selection. A supplier analysis and selection tool is developed to decrease this extra time and money. The weighted point method is used for selection in the tool. The purchasers of the production company were closely involved in the development of the tool to create a tool that meets their requirements.
