Method on implementing circular principles in industry product development processes

This study proposes a framework on the integration and contextualised application of circular economy principles during industry product development and manufacturing practices, with a specific evaluation focus on the reduction of negative product impact effects on the environment. It includes aspects of eco-efficiency and eco-effectiveness principles with respect to product circularity. A structured process on assessing product circularity potential, concretisation for comparability and impact quantification with use of LCA form a foundation for increasing compatibility to future legislative circular economy requirements in manufacturing industry sectors. Realisation of potential product development goals is supported with pre-set recommendations.
