Video conferencing in SMEs - Composing a decision support model to advice IT consultants for organisational meetings
Author(s): Helle, Tim (2021)
Abstract:
Video conferencing (VC) has experienced tremendous growth over the past years, with an additional boost with the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. After COVID-19, the world will look very different and not just fall back into the "old standard" as people have learned and experienced much about the value of VC in the many aspects of daily (business) life. My research will address these valuable experiences and aims to define a decision support model (DSM), consisting of conditions, factors, and limitations for video conferencing. It will be described and weighted for different meeting objectives to advise IT consultants in small and medium-sized enterprises on making well informed decisions. Rich data is collected by conducting qualitative semi-structured interviews with various IT consultants.
