Designing and Testing a Questionnaire to Measure Sedentary Behaviour during Leisure Time

Author(s): Maghsoud Lou, Sam (2021)

Abstract:
Measurements in sedentary behaviour during leisure time were lacking, even though SB during leisure time covers a large amount of total SB. The first study found by interviewing 10 employees 11 sedentary activities during leisure time. The existing BQOS that measured primary SB during occupational time did not measure specific sedentary activities during leisure time. Through the first study, the existing BQOS was extended with 11 questions asking employees for their time spent sitting or lying during certain activities. To test the quality of the questionnaire, considering the understandability and completeness, the TSTI was applied on five employees. After the feedback of the TSTI, the extended BQOS was improved.
