Inventory strategies for the surgery department.

The disposables are important products that are needed in the surgery department in the hospital. There are two types of disposables namely the scan-buy products and the non scan-buy products. All the surgical disposables are stored in the local warehouse and the anesthesia disposables are stored separately within the surgery department. The non scan-buy products are ordered from the central warehouse in the hospital. The other products are scan-buy products which are ordered directly from the suppliers. Every type of disposable has their own inventory strategy. The problem is to find an inventory strategy that minimizes the expected costs. Meanwhile it is important for the hospital to have enough stock.
