Designing a Serious Game to Help Parents to Deliver of Death Education: Dilemma-driven-design as a Tool to Design for Users
Lyu, Jinming (2023)
Death education is a pedagogical journey that explores the relationship between life and death which encompasses views and attitudes towards death from different perspectives such as scientific, cultural and religious. Family-based death education for children will have a positive effect on children if it is conducted in a constructive way. Parents will see that their children's awareness of death and their ability to deal with grief both grow. Designers can be guided in transforming this abstract concept into practical entry points for design by using the dilemma-driven-design approach, which examines the dilemmas parents encounter when educating their children about death.
