A novel hybrid machine learning metaheuristic approach to create nurse rosters in a Dutch hospital

This research proposes a hybrid machine learning metaheuristic approach to create nurse rosters in a Dutch hospital. The machine learning models predict what person is going to work based on historical planning data and selected features. Then, the metaheuristic framework ensures feasibility and optimises the schedule further.
