Analysing workflows of high dose rate brachytherapy treatments for prostate cancer in the USA

We analysed workflows of high dose rate brachytherapy treatments for prostate cancer in the USA to answer the question 'Which step(s) of high dose rate prostate cancer brachytherapy treatments (HDR PCaBTs) in centres in the USA gives the biggest opportunity for improvement relating to time?'. For this research we divided HDR PCaBTs into three different workflows: A non-Realtime workflow A Realtime workflow without image registration A Realtime workflow with image registration With the help of this division, we made a survey we sent out to Elekta customers in the USA who use HDR PCaBTs to collect data to be able to answer our research question.
