Improving visibility of inventory risk at Company X

The thesis focuses on the inventory problem that Company X is having. Due to high volumes that need to be produced to satisfy the demand and the nature of goods being perishable, the inventory ends up being disposed off in large quantities. The approach was to build a tool to visualize the potential root cause of the core problem. A Power BI dashboard was built to keep track of the potential sources of perishable inventory of Company X, including a list of key performance indicators to visualize the issues. Based on the results of the tool, a root cause analysis was built and final results and conclusions shared with the supply management team of Company X.
